Memory Effects of High-Power Amplifiers in LSTM-based Vehicular Channel Estimation

The upcoming sixth generation (6G) of wireless communication systems is expected to enable a wide range new applications in vehicular communication. However, the use multicarrier-based modulation introduces challenges due Doppler effects, which can induce nonlinear distortions at high-power amplifiers (HPAs) and significantly degrade channel estimation. In this paper, we investigate performance long short-term memory (LSTM)-based estimation considering HPA effects. Our results reveal impact these nonlinearities on detection transmitted signals, highlighting importance often neglected effects when developing solutions for practical scenarios. We further present low-complexity method compensating part NLD transmitter side, while handling remaining along with addition, emphasize ability certain estimators handle receiver their advantages tracking channel.
